レッスンレポート(Part4 オーストラリアンのクリスマスについて)



12月24日(月)Seanが担当でオーストラリアのクリスマスに関するレッスンをしました。使った動画はサンタがクリスマスにサーフィンをしている動画です。

ちなみに、だいたいのレッスンは①Warm up②Listening③Key Words & Phrases④Discussion⑤Role playの5つのパートに分かれており、今回の動画については、それぞれの質問は下記のとおりです。


Warm up

Christmas = Christian Holiday

Origin on Santa Claus

Saint Nicholas was agreed saint, living in the Roman Empire

Santa Claus = Santi Klaas (dutch figure) who gave presents on Christmas.

Santas appearance = (how something looks) is Odin (nordic god) Nordic = Norway

Uniting = bringing together

Uniting through traditions = bring us together during Christmas. We are ‘united’

G’day - Good day

Breakky - Breakfast

Arvo = afternoon

Avo - avocado

Chokky Bikky - chocolate biscuit

Barbie - Barbecue

Something is ‘Pretty ……. ‘ Large, Small, Good, Bad Pretty = Very

Pretty = good looking

Describing Foods

Fatty Tuna

Oily ‘ a slick of oil’ Melty = dissolve

Grilled Salmon

Salty Soft (breaks apart easily)

Sashimi squid

-Chewy ( must chew hard to digest) Digest = eat

-Hot flavour (with wasabi)

Roe

Texture - small bursting balls Juicy - Fruits. Beef Fragile = soft or easily broken

Rich (when describing food) = strong / full

Rich

Hot - Temperature

Hot - Taste = chillis are hot, wasabi is hot

Texture = how it feels

Flavour = how it tastes

Great ‘spot’ = place

‘Dig in’ = eat as much as you want

Catch some waves = surfing

Wipepout = To lose your surfboard and go underwater

Main Difference = biggest difference
